Ahead of the release of their new album, set to release on November 14, Portugal. The Man has announced their second single to be taken from ‘In The Mountain In The Cloud’. So American will be released on 7 November.

Their sixth album, ‘In The Mountain In The Cloud’  - produced by John Hill (Santigold, M.I.A.) with co-production from PTM lead singer/guitarist/songwriter John Gourley and longtime band producer Casey Bates, and mixed by Grammy Award winner Andy Wallace (Nirvana, Jeff Buckley) - marks their first on Atlantic Records and creatively captures the band’s exhilarating live show. From the new single and dynamic opener ‘So American’ to the sprawling vision of ‘Sleep Forever’, this is a truly distinctive record and firmly cements them as one indie-rocks most exciting bands around. Their extraordinary amalgamation of electronic beats, complex melodies and atmospheric post-rock soundscapes truly comes to life in their live show with lead singer/guitarist/songwriter John Gourley’s compelling vocals leading the way in what can only be described as a mesmerising show.

In support of this hugely anticipated album Alaska’s indie-rockers will be hitting the road in November for a six date UK headline tour. The tour will kick off in Birmingham on the 14 November and finish up in Bristol on the 19 November.
