DEPTH
Hailing from Norwich, DEPTH are a four-piece post-hardcore band, with influences ranging from Funeral For A Friend to Killswitch Engage. After signing a one album deal with Rising Records, DEPTH’s debut full length album was released in May 2010. ‘Situations Fulfilled’ received reviews from the likes of Rock Sound, Big Cheese and Kerrang! magazines, as well as having plenty of online coverage, all of which has helped them receive nearly 100,000 profile views on Myspace. DEPTH have also secured an endorsement with Hughes & Kettner.
The four-piece have been featured on the Red Bull Bedroom Jam competition, resulting in the band playing a live show which was streamed on the internet to thousands of viewers. DEPTH have had their video for ‘Burning Pages’ featured on the top-rated videos on the Lava TV website, and have recently released a new video for the track ‘True Escape’, both of which feature on the album.
Since forming six years ago, DEPTH have moved on from being a young cover band to developing their own brand of finely-tuned rock, writing catchy and original songs. Over the years the band have played shows all over the country, touring many times which has seen the bands fan base grow. DEPTH have shared the stage with the likes of My Passion, Exit Ten, Don Broco, Deaf Havana, Everything Burns, We Are Fiction, The Undertones and many many more. The quartet have already started writing for their eagerly anticipated second album, and in the words of Kerrang! Magazine: “DEPTH’s second album could definitely be one to watch out for.”
In 2011 DEPTH have played all over the country and shared the stage with bands such as Shadows Chasing Ghost, Polar, Mallory Knox and Hildamay among others. They have recently been in the studio recording new material for their new EP which will be released at the start of next year. The first single Waiting For The Waves was released from the upcoming EP and has had a phenomenal reaction across the country. 2012 is shaping up to be quite a year for the band!
