ROYAL REPUBLIC make UK return in 2012
High-octane Swedish rockers ROYAL REPUBLIC return to the UK next May as special guests of The Subways.
2011 was a great year for ROYAL REPUBLIC. Our intrepid Swedes visited the UK three times and also played, not merely one or two, but three sets at the Download Festival, appearing on the Pepsi Max stage, then two ‘unplugged’ sets; one in the Live Nation media area on Friday and another up on the Jagermeister stage on Saturday.
ROYAL REPUBLIC’s energetic live show is definitely one to see, with Kerrang! proclaiming them ‘terrific stuff…. a sound that combines the energy of The Hives with the tunefulness of Rancid,’ and Classic Rock Magazine insisting it’s ‘very easy to fall in love with Royal Republic’. Their album, ‘We Are The Royal’ is in stores now and available from iTunes, Play.com and all good digital retailers.
