DON BROCO ANNOUNCED AS FOUR YEAR STRONG TOUR SUPPORT
DON BROCO have been announced to support FOUR YEAR STRONG on their headlining tour of the UK, kicking off at Brighton’s Concorde on 25th January.
Home county rockers Don Broco kick started 2011 with the release of their debut Mini-Album, ‘Big Fat Smile’ (released Feb 14th) which received rave reviews from the likes of Kerrang (KKKK) and Rocksound (8/10). As well as securing support from XFM, Kerrang! Radio & Q Radio, the lead single ‘Beautiful Morning’ has enjoyed significant video airtime on Kerrang! TV, Scuzz, NME TV & Lava.
In May, ‘Beautiful Morning’ was added to the BBC Radio 1 Introducing Playlist, which led to the band being selected to perform on the BBC Introducing Stage at this year’s Reading & Leeds. Their live set was broadcast on BBC 3, and highlights from the set were played out on Radio 1 by Huw Stephens, plus Jen Long and Ally McCrae (in for Nick Grimshaw). Both Jen and Ally touted the guys as their favourite band of the bill. Their single ‘Dreamboy,’ (available now) has since received airplay from Radio 1’s Zane Lowe.
Don Broco already have extensive touring under their belts; having played Download, Underage, Sonisphere, Camden Crawl, Slam Dunk, Great Escape, Liverpool Sound City, and Boardmasters festivals as well as sharing stages with Enter Shikari, Lower Than Atlantis, We Are The Ocean, Young Guns and The King Blues.
In addition, the quartet were voted by Rock Sound readers as Number 4 in their end of 2010 ‘Best British Newcomers’ poll. Their new, as yet untitled album, will be available later this year.
