The greatest 19th century synth, pop rock ensemble to ever to grace the 21th century, The Helmholtz Resonators, are release one of their most emotionally charged singles to date in the form of ‘Scars’, out April 16th on Trashmouth Records. The single also comes with a master class in Acid House genius in the form of a remix by Johnny Aux, which sounds like another future retro classic blasted through night riders sound system!

‘Scars’ is a tale of lost love played out in this beautiful, emotionally gripping tune with all the highs and lows that comes with a break up. The track is accompanied by a magic animated video made by Lee Gregory.

‘When She Was Mine’ was written by Lawson frontman Andy Brown and produced by John Shanks, the Grammy Award winning producer of Take That’s albums ‘Beautiful World’ and ‘The Circus’. Joining Andy in Lawson are Joel Peat (lead guitar), Adam Pitts (drums), and Ryan Fletcher (bass). Respectively from Liverpool, Mansfield, Brighton and Chesterfield, Lawson formed in 2009 and spent over two years gigging and writing songs before signing to Polydor/Global Talent in autumn last year. Their debut album, also produced by John Shanks, will be released later this year.

The second track to make it’s way online from North Atlantic Oscillation’s stunning new record and the lead single from the record, ‘Soft Coda’, can be heard along with a hypnotic accompanying video.

‘Soft Coda’ comes out next week, preceding the band’s moody, complex and diverse second record ‘Fog Electric’, which is released on April 30th through Kscope. They will also be playing a special album launch show at The Tabernacle Church in London’s Notting Hill on Wednesday 2nd May (TICKETS).

‘Soft Coda’ is 4 minutes of swooping electronics and delicately shimmering melodies, illustrated by a suitably beautiful & intricate video, directed by Paul Bloomfield and Tadashi Abe at Ploomers.
