KORDA MARSHALL – LEGO
Released  22nd May 2012

Word: Stevie Blackburn

After forming at University back in 2010, female fronted pop rock band Korda Marshall have completely taken off in such a short time including signing to Infuse Records and gaining a nationwide fan base.

Latest single from the group, ‘Lego’ is a great mix of guitar riffs teamed up with the delicate voice of leading lady, Lisa Hart. It’s refreshing to find a female fronted band that don’t aspire to be the next Paramore instead Hart and co. have taken a voice which could easily be successful on its own and backed it up with some talent guitarists and a drummer and have created something new and exciting in the UK music scene.

‘Lego’ takes this style to its full potential and the five some have managed to make two such unique styles fit perfectly together. Although she may have a pretty voice and the guitar riffs might seem mysteriously melodic, don’t be fooled as the latter part of the track gives you a sneaky insight into the power that can be truly unleashed by Korda Marshall.

‘Lego’ may only be just over 2minutes long but it’s highly infectious and you’ll be singing along in no time. The band have released the video for this on YouTube, no surprises the video is made almost entirely of Lego pieces with a Lego version of a Korda Marshall gig being the main focus. Intrigued? Then go and check it out for yourself here. Believe us when we say, this is one band you’ll want to hear more of.
