A Place To Bury Strangers release Onwards To The Wall, their debut EP on Dead Oceans February 6 on CD/12″/Digital formats. The EP contains five brand new, pummelling tracks.

Lead song  ”So Far Away” takes all the pure pop perfection of The Box Tops’ “The Letter” and shoots it through with a barely-harnessed dark energy and snarling propulsion.

Onwards To The Wall packs every bit of the searing sonic maelstrom listeners have come to expect from APTBS. Produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by APTBS themselves, this is the sound of a band in control of making out-of-control music. Now joined by bassist Dion Lunadon, formerly of The D4, lead singer and guitarist Oliver Ackerman has found a crucial companion in pulling timeless melodies from their jet engine textures. The adroit songcraft that’s always been there is brought to the fore, with familiar pop hooks repurposed for maximum carnage. A handful of contemporary bands are currently exploring the new limits of loud. Here, APTBS proves that they have not only been leading that charge, but that they are also evolving and maturing on those front lines.

Onwards To The Wall is a fresh, complete artistic statement from APTBS. It’s a new chapter, a prelude for what awaits us on the horizon. It is a taste of greatness to come.

Four friends gave birth to HOLY in the hot summer of 2011 in Milano, Italy. Whilst most people were hanging out in shorts and sunglasses, planning their holiday and heading to the seaside, HOLY were locked inside a hot, sweaty rehearsal room, writing songs.

It only took a few days to give birth to a fistful of songs, 8 to be exact. Soon after, a demo was recorded in the same hot, sweaty rehearsal room, which instead of being a demo became HOLY’s debut release.

8 furious songs in 11 minutes, comprising their self-titled debut EP, is to be to be released on 12” vinyl though Italian DIY label Hell, Yes! – the physical release date has now changed to February 20^th 2012.

Longtime active in the Italian hardcore/punk scene, both organizing and playing shows with different bands, HOLY focused all their thoughts on creating angry, fast music that could talk about political issues and life choices. Reflecting on a bleak vision of big ideals and how cynical reality can sometimes be. The result is a mix between old-school hardcore, 80′s punk and power-violence.

They will be playing their first ever UK shows very soon. Watch this space!

Lostprophets follow a long bout of touring, writing and recording to bring you their fifth studio album entitled ‘Weapons’, which is out through Epic on April 2nd.

The Golden Age is coming and there’s nothing you can do.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but being able to appreciate something in the very moment it exists is far more important. And knowing when something great’s about to happen? That’s the most exciting time of all.

Your Demise, one of the UK’s hardest-working and most-respected bands are about to enter their own glory days with the release of new album The Golden Age. It’s a fearless summary of modern punk rock all tied up in the band’s unique style, and the year ahead will see YD leaving the basement scene behind and bravely breaking new ground, starting with a stint on prestigious Australian festival tour Soundwave, before headlining across Europe in March and the UK in April, where they will top the bill of the Rock Sound Impericon Exposure Tour.

“The Golden Age is the most accurate depiction ever of who we are as a band and as people,” says vocalist Ed McRae. “If we could have written an album like this from the beginning then we would have. And recording it was very smooth – it all happened very quickly because we’re now better at integrating all our influences.”

And being able to represent those influences – the energy of SoCal skate punk, the brutality of East Coast hardcore and the big-hearted melody of the finest old-school pop-punk – more fluidly than ever is what will catapult Your Demise above and beyond.

The Golden Age (produced and engineered by Matt O’Grady and mixed by John Mitchell) is a record that deals with friendship, love, getting high, getting low, band life and real life honestly and intelligently. It also marks McRae blossoming into a better frontman than he’s ever been before, while guitarists Stu Paice and Daniel Osbourne, bassist Jimmy Sampson and drummer James Tailby prove they’re more than capable of switching style almost at will. You think you know Your Demise? Nu-uh.

If The Golden Age has its roots in Your Demise’s arm-long list of achievements – at time of writing the only continent they’ve not toured is Antarctica; they’ve ripped up massive festivals such as Download and Reading and Leeds; they’re as comfortable recording BBC sessions as they are turning a venue upside down; their last album ‘The Kids We Used To Be’ (Visible Noise) captured the attention of press and TV internationally – then it also provides a clear road-map of the band’s sky-high ambition.

The record features guest appearances from You Me At Six’s Josh Franceschi and letlive.’s Jason Butler, as well as David Wood from Down To Nothing and Terror, Theo Kindynis from Last Witness, Ajay Jones from Brutality Will Prevail, Louis from Breaking Point and Dannika Webber from Evarose, a spread which shows the respect YD command worldwide.

“Those guest spots weren’t written with anyone in mind, we just wanted our friends on the record,” continues Ed. “We love sharing what we’re doing with them. We’re still down with hardcore bands, and they want to be on our record, but then Josh is in a ridiculously big band and he wants to be on our record too. It shows that no matter what you do you still have friends.”

The next 12 months will see YD again taking the fight internationally, with confirmed touring stints in Australia, Europe and North America and a busy summer of festivals off the back of the Rock Sound Impericon Exposure Tour. After that? Who knows. With The Golden Age, the world is theirs.
