FORTUNE FAVOURS THE BRAVE – SIGN TO TRANSCEND RECORDS

Posted on 22 February 2010 by Emma

Fortune Favours The Brave sign to Transcend Records

Transcend Records are pleased to announce yet another new addition to their ever expanding beefy Brit-Metal roster.

Hailing from darkest Essex, Fortune Favours The Brave are a progressive Metal act who combine technical riffage, epic lead sections and ear shredding solos to create a truly impressive and unique cocktail of Metal. Drawing influence from acts such as Darkest Hour, Sikth and Killswitch Engage, FFTB pool their individual indulgences to overwhelm and enthrall their listener.  A hint of Screamo, a splash of Death and  lashings of Metalcore, packed with juicy guitar solo’s and angular squirting riffery pretty much sums up what you can expect from FFTB.  The band are currently secreted away in the studio crafting their debut release which will surface sometime around the middle of the year.

HELLFIRE CLUB – ANNOUCE SUNDAY HEADLINERS AND MORE!

Posted on 18 February 2010 by Emma

HELLFIRE CLUB ANNOUCE SUNDAY HEADLINERS AND MORE!

The Hellfire Club have unveiled their headliners for the closing day of the first spin off event from the main Hellfire Festival.  The Ghost of a Thousand will be joined by main support The Eyes of a Traitor on Sunday 9th May and Hang the Bastards have been added to the line up on Friday 7th May.

Having kicked, screamed and fought their way out of Brighton, England in early 2007 with awe-inspiring debut full-length This Is Where The Fight Begins, THE GHOST OF A THOUSAND have rapidly become one of the UK’s most valuable and unique musical assets, thanks to their unhinged, uncompromising and utterly invigorating style. Having spent the last couple of years challenging old perceptions of what British hardcore was made of – collecting a Kerrang! Award nomination and a place in Q Magazine’s Top Five metal bands, along the way – the quintet are back with an album that doesn’t just tear up the rule book, it sets it ablaze and leaves it on your doorstep in a middle of the night drive by.  We have no doubt that TGOAT will close the inaugural Hellfire Club true to their word in a blaze of swaggering Rock ‘n’ Roll, hard rock heroism!

Stigma – Announce New Album!

Posted on 04 February 2010 by Emma

STIGMA
NEW ALBUM “CONCERTO FOR THE UNDEAD”

MAY 3RD

Italy’s extreme metal act STIGMA are set to strike again with their sophomore album ‘Concerto for the Undead’ . Produced at Fear Studio by BRING ME THE HORIZON guitarist Jona Weinhofen and mixed and mastered by Scott Atkins (BEHEMOTH, CRADLE OF FILTH, SYLOSIS), the album presents listeners with a crystal clear barrage of uncompromising brutality; fusing staccato riffs with relentless blast-driven percussion and wholly punishing beatdowns.

The albums lyrics are centered on the cult-classic comic book series Tales From The Crypt and are delivered via a vicious vocal attack from front man Stefano ‘Vlad’ Ghersi and guest vocalists Jamie Hope (ex-THE RED SHORE) and Jon Hunt (ex-DEAD TO FALL). Artwork from Andrea Barton calls upon the timeless style of vintage b-movie horror covers as influence and firmly positions the quartet as a powerful force in an era where extremity reigns supreme!

Posted on 27 September 2009 by Emma

THE ARUSHA ACCORD + A TEXTBOOK TRADEGY +
GHOSTS ON PEGASUS BRIDGE TOUR, NOVEMBER 2009!!!

The Arusha Accord are the leaders of this here tour package; the elite of their kind and Britains finest young progressive metal band have recieved some incredible attention during their fresh career. The angulared and spazzy post-hardcore style is a unique jump from done-before melodies, and the contrast of beautiful clear vocals and agonized yelps make The Arusha Accord one of the most exhilirating acts around!

Joining them is Canadian tech-wizards A Textbook Tradegy, whos pained music is the result of bitter encounters and too many hours indoors perfecting the guitar! Also on the bill are the UK’s Ghosts On Pegasus Bridge who’s fresh-faced brutality really knocks the nail on the head.

You’d better hope you can handle this!
